Job summary

Seneca Polytechnic in King City is seeking a permanent, full-time Professor to join the School of Public Safety. The role focuses on Police Foundations and Community Policing, with teaching excellence, curriculum development, and academic leadership across in-person, online, and hybrid delivery.

You will foster industry partnerships, guide experiential learning opportunities, and contribute to a dynamic education experience that prepares students for today’s labour markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum completed Degree in a related field.
• Extensive frontline experience in community policing.
• Ability to teach in Police Foundations and 911/Emergency Communications programs.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and engage learners in in-person, online, and hybrid delivery environments.
• Ability to foster industry partnerships and support experiential learning opportunities for students.
• Demonstrated exceptional presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong relationships with industry contacts and network connections are an asset.

Course and Curriculum Development
