Job summary

Bombardier in Canada seeks a senior engineer to support production operations on multi-platform aircraft programs, resolve airframe and systems NCRs, and collaborate with multiple disciplines to meet business goals.

This role emphasizes MRB expertise, continuous improvement, and a day shift in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree or College (3 year) technical diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum of ten years of relevant MRB experience with airframe structure repairs.
• Desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after on-the-job training.
• Familiar with metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation.
• Experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace.
• Team player with a collaborative approach.
• Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of Catia v5.

Responsibilities

• Support production operations on Bombardier multi-platform aircraft programs (Challenger 3500 / 650 and Global 5500 / 6500 / 8000).
• Understand and resolve airframe and systems problems providing technical support by answering Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) raised by Quality.
• Work in close cooperation with other disciplines such as Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Flight Science, Design, Methods, Quality and Operations to resolve NCRs and achieve the company’s business objectives.
• Participate in projects that aim to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.
• Work schedule is day shift.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree or College (3 year) technical diploma in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• You have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) environment with airframe structure repairs.
• You have the desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training.
• You are familiar with metallic and composite aircraft structures as well as aircraft system installation.
• You have experience dispositioning nonconformances in aerospace.
• You must be a team player with a collaborative approach.
• You are flexible and comfortable working under pressure with a minimum of supervision.
• You have sound technical judgement and a practical approach.
• You have good oral and written communication skills in English.
• You know how to browse Engineering mockups in Catia v5.
