Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Dorval, QC, is seeking a Professional Senior, Engineering - Thermodynamics to perform advanced analyses of heat transfer, pipe networks, thermodynamics and aircraft icing, and to frame results for design and right-sizing of aircraft.

The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical or aerospace engineering (Master's preferred), at least 12 years in thermodynamics/icing, strong MS Office skills, and willingness to travel. Fluency in English is assumed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in thermodynamics and icing engineering.
• Self-motivated and innovative team player.
• Advanced MS Office/Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Siemens Flomaster or Star CCM+ is an asset.
• Familiar with programming (Unix, Fortran 77/95, VB, C++/C# and Python is an asset).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel for short term assignments.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering (including courses or projects in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, in-flight icing and/or CFD analyses). Having a Master is an asset.
• You have a minimum of 12 years of experience in the thermodynamics and icing engineering field.
• Self-motivated and innovative team player.
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office software (advanced level for Excel).
• Knowledge of Siemens Flomaster or Star CCM+ is an asset.
• You are familiar with programming (Unix Operating System and with programming languages such as Fortran 77/95, Visual Basic, C++/C# & Python is an asset).
• You possess good interpersonal skills as well as good written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to travel for short term assignments.
