Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval is seeking a Senior Engineering Liaison to interpret engineering documents, support production, and ensure repair schemes meet specifications. This role demands cross-disciplinary collaboration and strong problem-solving.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical or Aerospace background, 10+ years of experience, CATIA and MS Office skills, and fluency in English and French. The position is a day-shift, on-site role at Dorval Plant 3.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a Technical degree in Aerospace.
• Proficiency in CATIA and MS Office tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering documents and conduct technical investigations, analyze facts and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Support daily production and delivery activities.
• Understand and solve problems related to structure and systems’ installation and provide technical support for NCRs.
• Participate in projects to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance.
• Collaborate with Systems, Stress, Thermodynamics, Material & Processes, Propulsion, and other teams to meet business objectives.
• Participate in the Operational Excellence methodology of operation.
• Assist in training new junior Liaison Engineering personnel.
• Ensure conformity of repair schemes with Engineering requirements and specifications.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Interpret engineering documents and conduct technical investigations, analyze facts and develop the most cost-effective solution in a timely manner.
• Support daily production and delivery activities.
• Understand and solve problems related to structure and systems’ installation and provide technical support in answering Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) raised by Quality Agents.
• Participate in projects that will increase our productivity, reduce waste and improve our financial performance.
• Work closely with other teams such as Systems, Stress, Thermodynamic, Material & Processes, Propulsion, Environmental Control Systems, Logistics, Methods, Quality. and Operations to achieve the organization’s business objectives.
• Participate in the Operational Excellence methodology of operation.
• To assist in training of new junior Liaison Engineering personnel.
• To ensure the conformity of repair schemes and dispositions with Engineering requirements and specifications.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) in a recognized University or a Technical degree in Aerospace
• You have a minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience as an Engineer or at least 15 (fifteen) years as a Technologist.
• You have knowledge of the aircraft structure & system.
• You possess good CATIA skills & are familiar with Microsoft Office software tools.
• You have Strong communication skills, ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• You are available for evening and weekend work on rotating schedule.
• You have good level of written and speaking French and English
• You have good organizational & planning skills
• You possess good judgement and are a good team worker in a multidisciplinary team
