Bombardier in Dorval, Canada is seeking a Cabinet Engineering specialist with a strong background in aircraft interiors completions. You will act as the focal point between Bombardier multidisciplinary teams and suppliers and drive design improvements across programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, 7–10 years of relevant experience, and solid Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX skills. Proficiency in MS Office and bilingual French/English is required.

• Cabinet experience is an asset.
• Solid experience with Catia/Enovia and Teamcenter/NX.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.

• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

• Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with Bombardier multidisciplinary teams and suppliers.
• Help supplier understand and follow BA processes and best practices.
• Identify and propose opportunities for product and process improvement.
• Review specifications for accuracy across documentations.
• Be mindful of potential technical issues in designs and risks.
• Support and attend weekly quality and engineering meetings.
• Propose design solutions to change requests (RFQs, IAS, RFCs).
• Support PCRs and coordinate technical integration meetings to meet program needs.
• Collaborate with suppliers and teams to assess RFQ impacts.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and upper management.
• Develop 3D concepts to support change management deliverables such as PCR, RFQ, VROM.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Act as the Cabinet Engineering focal with between Bombardier multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers.


• Help supplier to understand and follow BA processes and best practices.


• Find & propose opportunities for product & process improvement (cycle time reduction, ease of production, weight reduction etc.)


• Review specifications for accuracy across documentations


• Be mindful of project potential technical issues (critical designs, risks etc.)


• Support/attend weekly quality and engineering meetings.


• Propose design solutions to change requests (RFQs, IAS, RFCs).


• Support Program Change Requests (PCR). Coordinate technical integration meetings, analyze, and define technical proposals to meet program needs.


• Work with supplier and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal RFQ (client changes) impacts


• Communicate efficiently with colleagues, cross functional teams, and upper management.


• Develop 3D concepts as required to support change management deliverables such as PCR, RFQ, VROM.
