A leading aerospace firm in Canada is looking for a Professional in Electrical/Electronic Engineering focused on cabin innovation. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout product development, designing and improving cabin systems, and applying innovative engineering solutions. Candidates should hold a degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering and possess over 10 years of industry experience, especially in business aircraft interiors. The position emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and proficiency in tools like Catia and NX.

Formación

• Over 10 years of relevant engineering experience in business aircraft interior finishing and systems.
• Experience in the design and/or integration of mechanical-electrical systems.
• Strong technical skills and understanding of manufacturing processes.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Collaborate with the design, production, purchasing, and quality assurance teams, as well as suppliers, throughout the various stages of the product development process.
• Be involved in cabin research and development activities and participate in the evaluation of prototypes under development.
• Conceptualize and prototype custom interfaces. Create interface concepts, draw PCB layouts, prototype full interfaces (soldering, piece parts procurement), create parts suitability assessments (obsolescence, alternates), reverse engineer non-aerospace/automotive interfaces and make them suitable for our purpose. Button, switches, sensors, actuation, interfaces, etc.
• Define and design cabin systems configuration.
• You are familiar with aircraft interior system specifications and design.
• Improve prototype concepts through the process of iteration, testing, and design review.
• Conduct studies, analyses, and calculations to guide designers, technicians and project managers in their work using general and specific technical parameters.
• Work on the development, design, and testing of various mechanical/electrical systems.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a university degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• You have more than 10 years of relevant engineering experience in the field of business aircraft interior finishing and systems.
• You have experience in the design and/or integration of mechanical-electrical systems.
• You understand the fundamentals of a product's engineering structure as well as certification rules.
• You are highly motivated to take on challenges and determined to achieve results, bringing strong technical skills, an understanding of manufacturing processes, and a good problem-solving approach.
• You possess a creative approach that aligns with Bombardier's design and innovation philosophy: highly innovative and functional in order to exceed our customers' expectations.
• Knowledge of Catia and NX design software is an asset;
• You are recognized for your ingenuity, versatility, and agility.
• You are comfortable working with minimal supervision, you enjoy teamwork, and you have good project organization skills;
• You are an excellent collaborator and team player.
• You are bilingual in French and English (an asset);
