In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Collaborate with your colleagues in charge of cabin acoustics for the Challenger 650, Challenger 3500, Global 5500, 6500 and 8000 to resolve cabin acoustics and vibration issues occurring during production, delivery, or in service, ensuring Bombardier’s high standards of acoustic and vibratory comfort are maintained.

  • Collaborate with the Expert responsible for the vibratory environment domain to support all Bombardier technical entities requiring assistance.
  • Work with colleagues to propose, assess, and develop the tools and technologies of tomorrow that will be integrated into Bombardier’s future aircraft.

To achieve these objectives, you will be required to:

  • Develop and maintain databases for cabin noise and equipment vibration qualification.
  • Develop and maintain vibratory environment and cabin noise models for Bombardier’s product line.
  • Specify equipment qualification recommendations, review qualification reports, and communicate your findings and recommendations outside the acoustics group.
  • Plan and participate in flight, ground, and laboratory tests to quantify cabin acoustic comfort or characterize the vibratory environment in specific areas of the aircraft.
  • Analyze test data, write technical reports, and communicate your conclusions and recommendations.
  • Create models to optimize cabin acoustic comfort and validate these concepts through test campaigns.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering complemented by a Master’s or Ph.D. in acoustics.
  • You ideally have 3 to 8 years of relevant technical experience in the industry (transportation or construction, for example).
  • You possess general knowledge in acoustics and vibrations, including modeling, measurement techniques, and signal processing.
  • Ideally, you have more advanced expertise in finite element methods applied to structural dynamics and acoustics and/or sound design in buildings or performance halls.
  • You are recognized for fostering a healthy, ethical, and respectful work environment while promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan your work according to long-term objectives and short-term priorities, and to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to your audience and convey your messages confidently.
  • You have a curious, critical, and innovative mindset that enables you to develop your knowledge and skills and be a source of new ideas.
  • You are fluent in both French and English.

Please note: You don’t need all the skills, knowledge, and experience listed to apply for this position. We’re not looking for the perfect candidate, we’re looking for great talent and passionate individuals.
