Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Moncton, NB is seeking a Casual Courier to provide courteous pick-up and delivery on an assigned route and deliver excellent customer service. You will ensure accurate package handling, maintain neat paperwork, and uphold FedEx standards for service and security.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy packages, and ability to work four shifts per month Monday to Friday. Prior customer service and knowledge of FedEx Canada operations are assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/educational equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• One (1) year customer oriented business experience preferred.
• Some knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations an asset.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route.
• Provide related customer service functions while representing FedEx Canada.
• Accomplish accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and report stop counts and missorts.
• Load van and plan route for efficient delivery and pick-up, ensuring security of packages and vehicles.
• Seek additional business from current customers and inform sales of leads and market changes.
• Ensure paperwork is neat and that customers have supplies of shipping materials.
• Operate computerized tracking and dispatch systems and input correct information.
• Answer customer questions on FedEx Canada features and keep customers informed on requirements.
• Operate vehicle safely and comply with regulations.
• May perform loading/unloading and sorting/scanning as workload dictates.
• Demeanor as per company image and professional appearance.
