Based out of the Electrical Division Edmonton (EDE) location, the Production Worker - PCR will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor of the E-house department. Under the guidance of the Building Erector, the Production Worker - PCR will use various skills and tools to produce precision parts and assemble Powell Canada products.


Essential Responsibilities
  1. Move parts between manufacturing operations according to the routing.
  2. Load and unload electrical parts or other products (indoor/outdoor).
  3. Assist with shop and yard organization.
  4. Support Electricians during electrical installation operations.
  5. Remove finished parts from sheet metal skeletons.
  6. Deburr, grind, or finish metal parts using air/electric grinders or sanders.
  7. Sort and stack parts by part and job number.
  8. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and cranes.
  9. Use general hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and vise grips.
  10. Perform labor tasks like painting, grinding, sanding, or cleaning as directed.
  11. Promote safety culture and attend safety meetings.
  12. Follow standard work instructions to ensure quality and identify potential risks.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  14. Perform other duties as required.
Core Competencies
  • Ability to read a tape measure, including conversions between fractions, decimals, and metric/imperial units.
  • Be conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable.
  • Learn and adhere to manufacturing policies to ensure ISO compliance.
  • Work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments.
  • Have a basic command of English, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of production experience is an asset.
  • Safety certifications are an asset.
