Purdys Chocolatier, one of Canada's Top Employers, is proud of its 115-year history of quality, trust, and a supportive work environment. We are seeking detail-oriented, communicative team players to join our Production Teams at our Chester Street facility in Vancouver, BC, as Casual General Help - Full Time.

This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of promotion to permanent full-time based on performance and openings. Immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Coating and garnishing products such as cream centres and caramels
• Sorting, picking, and packaging chocolates
• Meeting daily production targets
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work stations
• Quality control and recording results
• Performing additional duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• Availability to work consistent shifts from Monday to Friday at both locations:
• Chester: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Kingsway: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
• Strong spoken and written English skills
• Attention to detail and teamwork ability
• CSA Certified safety shoes
• Experience in fast-paced environments and with food manufacturing machinery (asset)
• Compliance with SQF policies and procedures

Note: This is a unionized position; union membership is mandatory upon hire. Full-time hours are 40 hours/week.

Compensation:

• $18.57/hr with additional pay for PM shifts:
• $0.75/hr extra for shifts between 6 PM and 12 AM
• $1.00/hr extra for shifts between 12 AM and 6 AM
• Additional $1.00/hr for valid Occupational First Aid Certificates Level 2 & 3
