Job summary

Zaber Technologies in Vancouver, Canada, is seeking detail-oriented Production Technicians to build high-precision electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies and integrate them into motion control products.

You’ll work with a seasoned production team, gaining expertise in quality control and documentation of finished products, prioritizing orders per BoM, and improving work instructions to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This role is TEER 4 classified within Canada's NOC.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and hands-on skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills including databases and spreadsheets.
  • A Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics diploma or similar is an asset.
  • Experience with cleanroom environments or optical systems is an asset.
  • Experience with electronics, soldering and wire crimping is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Job description

To meet our sustained growth, Zaber is looking for detail-oriented Production Technicians to build quality, high precision products for our industry leading clients. You’ll meticulously build state-of-the-art electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies, then integrate them into our motion control products.

Drawing on the knowledge of our friendly and experienced production team, you’ll establish expertise in quality control and the documentation of finished products. You’ll have the freedom to assess and prioritize orders, assembling according to each product's Bill of Material (BoM).

You’ll be joining a successful company that focuses on designing and manufacturing the world's easiest-to-use positioning equipment. You’ll work within an advanced design and manufacturing team that allows us to build, test, and ship our products efficiently, demonstrating to our clients that we genuinely care about serving their needs.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to:

  • Build electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies
  • Integrate sub-assemblies into a variety of motion control devices
  • Improve work instructions as necessary
  • Check products’ Bills of Material and prioritize orders for unique products.
  • Assess the quality of finished products

Production Technician Qualifications

  • Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hands-on skills

Production Technician Details

  • The starting wage for the role is $22 - $29/hour, depending on experience.
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent.
