This role is based in Quanser’s Production Facility in Markham, Ontario (near Hwy 7 and Hwy 404), with day-shift equivalent hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

During the first 6 months of employment, the selected candidate will receive electro-mechanical assembly training on our complex systems. The training covers products, production assembly techniques, and the production team’s workflows. After successful completion, the candidate will operate and maintain production equipment, monitor quality control standards, and help ensure that production goals are met.

Responsibilities

  • Follow assembly drawings, schematics, manuals, and BOMs to complete electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area and adhere to safety and quality procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools to document and communicate as needed.
Essential Qualifications
  • Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized college or equivalent technical school certificate.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electro-mechanical precision assembly is an asset.
  • Experience crimping, soldering, and wire stripping.
  • Experience building mechanical and electrical assemblies from assembly drawings.
  • Proficiency in reading and following mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly manuals.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, polarities, wire gauges, color codes, and metric/imperial parts.
  • Ability to work from assembly drawings, schematics, written instructions, sample products, and BOMs.
  • Ability to manage multiple job orders with changing priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Ability to focus, prioritize, multi-task, and follow instructions.
  • Maintaining a neat and organized work area.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical QA inspection and product testing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
