Job summary

Mantech Enterprises Inc. in North Vancouver, BC, is seeking a Production Technician to assemble Paper Systems products and perform related assembly tasks. The role requires reading and interpreting drawings and specifications and a continuous improvement mindset.

Ideal candidates have a 2-year diploma in a mechanical discipline and 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience; ERP usage, ProShop, and strong communication are valued. We offer a 4-day work week and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

  • 2 Year Diploma in a mechanical discipline or equivalent education.
  • 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience. Electrical and pneumatic experience is an asset.
  • Able to use an ERP to source information. ProShop ERP experience is an asset.
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and soft skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
  • Adaptable in rapidly-changing environments.
  • Able to occasionally lift 40 lbs unassisted.
  • Able to operate a sit-down counterbalanced forklift.
  • Other abilities in metal fabrication or machining is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly of Paper Systems and other assemblies.
  • Review and understand assembly, part and schematic drawings.
  • Assist Paper Systems Team with test setup and testing.
  • Improve existing assembly and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with quality control including measurements with precision measuring equipment.
  • Assist in other areas of the metal fabrication shop.

Job Description

Reporting to the Production Planner, we are actively looking for a Production Technician. This position will assemble our paper systems products along with other assembly tasks. This position requires a self-starter, able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications as well as a continuous improvement mindset. The ideal candidate would be capable in other areas of the shop including quality control, material preparation and metal fabrication and machining.

This is a new position for the business and we are looking to improve and establish procedures, structure, and best-practices.
