Job summary

Norbec, a Canadian-owned leader in prefabricated walk-in coolers and architectural insulated metal panels, seeks a Production Operator to support the automated production line. The role spans across plant areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output.

Collaborate with teammates to maintain production flow and meet daily targets. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will handle routine machine adjustments, basic preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation while supporting

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.
  • Experience operating automated production lines is an asset.
  • Forklift driving experience is an asset.
  • Overhead crane experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all health and safety procedures, operational standards, and company values.
  • Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Learn and maintain skills in the production line areas where required (steel, injection, saw, packaging, stacker, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues in collaboration with team members.
  • Ensure product quality by following established standards and procedures.
  • Complete and maintain required production documentation accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process optimizations.
  • Perform other related tasks based on operational needs.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for operating and supporting the automated production line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Operator will work across different areas of the plant as needed and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations.

Job responsibilities

Required Training And Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
  • Experience operating automated production lines (asset);
  • Forklift driving experience (bi-directional lift experience an asset);
  • Overhead crane experience (asset).
