Job summary

SNDL is seeking a dedicated Cannabis Cultivation Technician for our Atholville facility to propagate, transplant and nurture cannabis plants through all growth stages. You’ll assist with planting, irrigation, pruning, harvesting and packaging while maintaining clean, compliant production spaces.

Working with supervisors and a team, you will record production data, adhere to biosecurity protocols, and support daily schedules to ensure quality and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.
  • Stand, bend, lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail; follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable, dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist propagation, planting, transplanting and cultivation of cannabis plants through all growth stages.
  • Perform routine plant care including watering, trimming and supporting plants.
  • Monitor plants and report nutrient, pest, disease, or environmental issues to supervisors.
  • Apply irrigation, nutrients and crop care per procedures.
  • Assist with harvesting, including cutting, trimming, sorting and prepping material.
  • Package and label cannabis products per procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining cultivation rooms and equipment per sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain production records and cultivation logs as required.
  • Operate cultivation equipment safely and follow health, safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team to meet daily schedules and quality standards.

About the Role
Job Description
  • Assist with propagation, planting, transplanting and cultivation of cannabis plants throughout all stages of growth.
  • Perform routine plant care, including watering, trimming plants, removing extra leaves and supporting plants with nets and ties.
  • Monitor cannabis plants for healthy growth and report signs of nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, or environmental concerns to supervisors.
  • Apply approved irrigation, nutrients, and crop care practices according to established cultivation procedures.
  • Assist with harvesting cannabis plants, including cutting, trimming, sorting, and preparing harvested material for further processing.
  • Package and label cannabis products in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain cultivation rooms, production areas, tools, equipment, and workstations following sanitation and biosecurity protocols.
  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory counts, and cultivation logs as required.
  • Safely operate cultivation equipment and follow all workplace health and safety, security, and cannabis regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform other cultivation and production duties as assigned.
