Tolko Industries is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student in Slave Lake, Alberta. You will work with seasoned professionals to gain hands-on experience in process improvement, product development, and innovation within Tolko’s mill environment.

The role focuses on supporting data-driven improvements, standardizing data collection, and contributing to safety, quality, and uptime. A strong passion for technology and independent problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Engineering or Wood Science program.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machines.
• A passion for technology and innovation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and use own resources to find innovative solutions to new problems.

Responsabilités

• Support the SR&ED program and contribute to project initiatives.
• Generate data showing long-term trends for uptime and performance.
• Standardize data collection across SBB mills.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across operations.
• Advise on methods to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime, supporting the technical team.
• Collaborate with multiple departments across the mill.

We're looking for an Engineering Co-op Student to join our Athabasca Oriented-Strand Board division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta. This state-of-the-art facility has the longest continuous press In North America, giving us the ability to produce a diverse range of innovative forest products such as Laminated Strand Lumber (LSL) and Engineered Wood Products (EWP) for customers around the world.
