Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) in Winnipeg seeks a Production Supervisor to supervise frontline manufacturing in a unionized setting. You will coordinate production, ensure TAKT time adherence, and drive LEAN improvements while upholding safety, quality, and budget goals.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Welding experience would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and progressive discipline.
• Dedication to continuous learning with varied education or hands-on learning.
• Good computer skills, with focus on MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Directs department activities to meet TAKT times and LEAN practices.
• Ensures work meets quality standards and addresses non-conforming materials.
• Monitors budget compliance and updates management on status.
• Directs and assigns work to production staff; promotes Lean training.
• Ensures safe work practices and PPE usage; leads H&S initiatives as needed.
• Provides guidance on work requirements and company policies.
• Ensures compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Maintains 5S standards and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
