POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 2‑year term position. The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross‑functional teams to ensure all processes of the MCI Manufacturing PDP after the BOM (Product Development Planning) Process are successfully completed with emphasis on factors of Time/Cost/Manufacturing Readiness, Quality and customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Develop Team Charter and Project Plan at the DC (Deliver Charter) Gate.
  • Develop all project and product cost(s), project timelines and manage project risks incorporating the PDP Process.
  • Conduct daily and/or weekly meetings for the duration of the project to ensure efficient coordination between the project team members and departments incorporating the PDP Process.
  • Ensure necessary approvals by Engineering, Product Planning, Production, and Sales process including the Advocate and the Owner are completed, and regulatory compliance has been notified of changes.
  • Ensure original project description, project and product costs and the timeline of the project are confirmed.
  • Report Project Status to Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Prepare and coordinate IP (Investment Proposal) of the project as required.
  • Develop, verify and coordinate Pilot Build, SR Launch, Production readiness and Tooling Review PDP/CMP Gates and ensure costs of the product and tooling and ME committed are reviewed.
  • Manage Manufacturing projects from initial phase to completion by utilizing Project management concepts.
  • Generate risk registry and develop mitigation and recovery plan for Fort Garry and Pembina plant.
  • Verify Audit Project at the PR (Performance Review) Gate.
  • Travel required – 30% of the time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Engineering or PMP designation or working towards designation with minimum 80 hours of related training.
  • 1‑3 years of Project Management experience with understanding of manufacturing related processes.
  • Well‑developed communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to travel to the United States.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and resolve problems to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Energized. Self‑motivated and challenged by multiple, simultaneous demands in a high‑volume environment.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
