Westeck-Windows-and-Doors in Chilliwack, BC seeks a Production Supervisor for its Door Manufacturing Plant. The role leads a production line on the shop floor, driving safety, quality, and timely delivery while coaching team members and coordinating with maintenance, quality, scheduling, and other departments.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage priorities, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement to deliver premium products for customers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of manufacturing or related experience, including supervisory experience
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Experience in production with understanding of processes, tools, equipment, and quality standards
• Experience in custom window and door manufacturing, millwork, cabinetry, or similar environment preferred
• Knowledge of CNC programming and/or CNC-based manufacturing assets would be an asset
• Experience with continuous improvement practices and a willingness to look beyond the immediate issue

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily workflow of production employees, setting priorities to meet safety, efficiency, and quality standards
• Monitor production flow, labour hours, quality results, waste, and adjust as needed

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Door Manufacturing Plant in Chilliwack, BC.

The Opportunity

As Production Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operation of an assigned production line or department, ensuring work moves safely and efficiently while meeting our standards for quality, production, cost, and delivery.

This is a hands-on, working leadership role. You will spend significant time on the production floor, actively participating in the daily operation alongside your team. You will coordinate priorities, respond to changing production needs, and work closely with Team Leads and production employees to keep the operation moving.

You will also partner closely with Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling, Purchasing, Shipping, Sales, and Customer Service to address issues, coordinate resources, and keep the broader operation aligned.

Just as importantly, you will be a leader of people. You will coach and develop team members, provide regular feedback, support performance conversations, recognize opportunities for growth, and help build a positive workplace grounded in teamwork, accountability, and open communication.

This role is well suited to someone who understands that production leadership is about more than hitting a number. It is about creating the conditions for people to succeed while delivering exceptional products to our customers.

What You Will Do

• Lead and coordinate the daily workflow of production employees within your assigned area, setting priorities and working alongside the team to ensure production commitments are met safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor production flow, output, labour hours, quality results, waste, and other key measures, taking action when results are not tracking to expectations.
• Work proactively with other production leaders and support teams to adjust staffing, priorities, and resources as operational needs change.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees by setting clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback, strengthening skills, and supporting cross-training within departments, across production lines, and between plants.
• Lead probationary, step increase, and annual performance reviews for production employees, ensuring conversations are completed thoughtfully and documented appropriately.
• Address attendance, performance, conduct, and progressive discipline matters fairly and consistently, partnering with Human Resources when appropriate.
• Review and approve employee timecards, vacation requests, time off, and approved overtime while maintaining production requirements.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to identify, document, and resolve quality concerns, including taking appropriate action when production needs to be paused to protect quality.
• Partner with Maintenance to address equipment-related production flow and safety concerns and ensure appropriate support is available when needed.
• Ensure employees understand and consistently follow established standards of work, standard operating procedures, and safety requirements.
• Lead safety talks and toolbox meetings, identify unsafe conditions, ensure appropriate controls and PPE are being used, and take action to protect the health and safety of the team.
• Participate in investigations and corrective actions as required and contribute to improving standard operating procedures and work practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, investigate the root causes of production issues, and lead approved initiatives that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and overall performance.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, reporting, and data, and provide timely explanations for significant variances.
• Support inventory counts, housekeeping, environmental initiatives, and other operational requirements within the assigned area.

You are an experienced production leader who is comfortable balancing people, priorities, and production demands. You know how to keep a team focused while remaining approachable, respectful, and fair.

• At least 5 years of manufacturing or related industry experience, including supervisory experience or equivalent leadership role.
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a production environment with an understanding of production processes, tools, equipment, and quality standards.
• Experience in custom window and door manufacturing, millwork, cabinetry, or a similar manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and/or CNC-based manufacturing processes would be an asset.
• Experience with continuous improvement practices and a willingness to look beyond the immediate issue to understand what is driving it.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate difficult, technical, or sensitive information in a straightforward and respectful way.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills, with the confidence to take action when circumstances change.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in coaching and developing people.
• A strong focus on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Nexus or SmartSheet is considered an asset.
• Safety Leadership, WHMIS, and First Aid training are also assets, although training will be provided where required.
