Job summary

Westeck-Windows-and-Doors in Chilliwack, BC seeks a Production Supervisor for its Door Manufacturing Plant. The role leads a production line on the shop floor, driving safety, quality, and timely delivery while coaching team members and coordinating with maintenance, quality, scheduling, and other departments.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, manage priorities, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement to deliver premium products for customers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of manufacturing or related experience, including supervisory experience
• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Experience in production with understanding of processes, tools, equipment, and quality standards
• Experience in custom window and door manufacturing, millwork, cabinetry, or similar environment preferred
• Knowledge of CNC programming and/or CNC-based manufacturing assets would be an asset
• Experience with continuous improvement practices and a willingness to look beyond the immediate issue

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily workflow of production employees, setting priorities to meet safety, efficiency, and quality standards
• Monitor production flow, labour hours, quality results, waste, and adjust as needed
• Collaborate with other leaders and support teams to adjust staffing and resources
• Coach and develop employees with feedback and cross-training
• Lead performance reviews and ensure proper documentation
• Address attendance and conduct issues with HR support when needed
• Review timecards, vacation requests, and overtime while maintaining production requirements
• Work with Quality Assurance to identify and resolve quality concerns
• Partner with Maintenance to address equipment-related issues
• Ensure standard work and safety procedures are followed
• Lead safety talks and investigations as required
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives
• Maintain production documentation and data, explain variances
• Support inventory counts and housekeeping in the area
