Job summary

Olymel is seeking a Production Supervisor in Trois-Rivières, Canada, to plan, organize, direct and monitor all production activities for the department. You will coordinate production, optimize labor and equipment use, and drive operational efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance with HACCP and SQF standards.

You should have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong planning skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The Role, Your Impact

Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring all production activities related to the department to which they are assigned. More specifically, the main challenges of the role include:

• Coordinating production activities;
• Ensuring the efficient use of labor and equipment;
• Taking actions to achieve operational efficiency goals;
• Ensuring compliance with the company's policies, procedures, and regulations;
• Monitoring and improving departmental performance and effectiveness;
• Applying and enforcing health and safety regulations;
• Applying and ensuring compliance with HACCP and SQF programs;
• Participating in continuous improvement committees and initiatives.

Your Strengths for the Position

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a manufacturing environment (unionized environment considered an asset), or equivalent experience;
• Education in administration, production, or personnel management would be an asset;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel);
• Ability to build strong professional and interpersonal relationships;
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated listening abilities;
• Solution-oriented mindset focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement;
