Job summary

IMT Precision is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a unionized manufacturing team, ensuring safe, efficient production that meets quality, cost and delivery targets. The role collaborates with operations, maintenance, quality and HR to enforce policies and implement improvements while fostering a safe and respectful workplace.

Ideal candidates will have an Industrial Management Certificate or Supervisor Training and 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity within manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Industrial Management Certificate or Supervisor Training required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SPC/OPC, OHSA/WHMIS and labour relations helpful.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to unionized employees in a manufacturing setting.
• Ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $65,200 – $92,600 base salary

Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: 2-week Rotating shift (Midnights, Afternoons, Days)

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing strong leadership and clear direction to unionized employees within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production targets are met safely and efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards. The Supervisor works closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and human resources to enforce company policies, implement improvements, and foster a safe and respectful workplace.

Education & Experience

• Education: Industrial Management Certificate and or/Supervisor Training
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment

Knowledge

• Manufacturing processes and machinery
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Operator Process Control (OPC)
• Labour Relations and union environment
• Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and related regulations
• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems)
• Familiarity with production scheduling, material flow, and operational KPI’s

• Conflict resolution and team-building abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Effective communication, both written and verbal
