Job summary

Penta Equipment in Glencoe, Ontario, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the fabrication leadership team. You will lead day-to-day activities, balance labour to meet schedules, and ensure safe, efficient production flow between departments.

You’ll coach and develop employees, remove obstacles on the floor, and partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to maintain momentum and drive continuous improvement.

• Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve issues and maintain production flow.
• Promote a culture where safety, quality, and teamwork are everyday expectations.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve throughput, efficiency, and quality.
• Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Production Supervisor to join our leadership team in our Glencoe facility.

Working alongside an experienced Production Supervisor, you'll share responsibility for leading our fabrication operations, balancing labour and production priorities, solving problems in real time, and ensuring production flows safely and efficiently from one department to the next.

You’ll be on the production floor—supporting employees, removing obstacles, coordinating with other departments, and making the decisions needed to keep production moving. You’ll lead one of our fabrication areas while partnering closely with your fellow supervisor to maintain alignment across the operation and respond quickly as priorities change.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, making sound decisions under pressure, and creating an environment where people understand what's expected of them and have the support they need to succeed.

This closely reflects the role's formal mandate to manage labour and resources, monitor work-in-progress, remove roadblocks, and coordinate across functions to keep the operation moving.
