Job summary

Penta Equipment, a Canadian manufacturer of agricultural equipment, is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join the production team in Glencoe, ON. You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, prepare machines for scheduled jobs, install tooling, verify offsets, and perform first-off inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.

You will contribute to maintaining high quality, on-time production, and a safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and part specs.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for scheduled production jobs.
• Load material and secure workpieces using fixtures, chucks and vises.
• Select and install tooling and verify offsets before machining.
• Retrieve CNC programs and confirm parameters before production.
• Complete first-off inspections to verify dimensions and quality.
• Monitor production runs and adjust tooling or offsets as needed.
• Identify and communicate equipment, tooling or program issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

Our products are manufactured at our facility inGlencoe, Ontario, with final assembly and shipping completed at our Thamesville facility.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experiencedCNC Machine Operatorto join our production team inGlencoe, ON.

In this role, you'll set up and operate CNC lathes and mills used to manufacture precision metal components. You'll prepare machines for scheduled jobs, select and install tooling, verify offsets, call up CNC programs, complete first-off inspections and monitor production runs for quality and consistency.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for scheduled production jobs.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Is comfortable with tooling, fixtures and offsets.
• Can read and interpret engineering drawings and part specifications.
• Has experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Understands machining processes and basic CNC program operation.
• Is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented and quality focused.
• Can work independently and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
