Job summary

Agropur Cooperative in Don Mills, Ontario, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a small business unit and drive Lean/Operational Excellence across production. You will coordinate daily activities, manage priority setting, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a college diploma or university degree, at least two years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, and solid knowledge of Lean practices, MS Office, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of strong experience with operational excellence/lean.
• Green Belt (an asset).
• Computer literacy with MS Office and Power BI.
• Knowledge of HACCP and SQF (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and equipment reliability.
• Utilize Lean and Operational Excellence methodologies to identify and eliminate losses.
• Monitor KPIs, identify trends, and implement solutions that improve safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Implement standardized work, 5S, visual management, and autonomous maintenance practices.
• Support capacity growth initiatives and capital investments that enhance performance.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to resolve issues and drive results.
• Lead and develop the Process Lead and Maintenance Lead while guiding frontline employees.
• Coordinate daily production activities, sequencing, and resource priorities.
• Promote a culture of food safety, quality and workplace safety with visible leadership.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for safety, quality and customer complaints.
