Job summary

Oxygen8 Solutions Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our morning shift manufacturing operations at our Burnaby head office.

You will coordinate daily activities, drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing team. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, coordination with Engineering and Supply Chain, and staffing to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Strong ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail while maintaining a broader operational perspective.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support four Team Leads and production staff of about 30 through coaching and development conversations.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and workforce planning to meet targets.
• Develop understanding of Oxygen8's product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to ensure materials and resources are available.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet production demand and review/Release work orders.
• Oversee attendance, vacation requests, and time reporting; support recruitment and onboarding.
• Champion 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Promote health and safety standards and participate in safety initiatives.
• Support performance reviews and employee development activities.
• Monitor production KPIs and create clear SOPs to ensure consistency.
• Foster a positive, engaged, high-performing team culture.

About the Role

Location: On-site at our head office at 5085 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, BC, V5J 0J2 (occasionally at 1575 Vernon Drive, Vancouver, BC, V6A 3P8)
Work hours: AM shift 6:30am - 3pm (with occasional overtime)

Oxygen8 is seeking an experienced and people-focused Production Supervisor to lead our morning shift manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys developing high-performing teams.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting Team Leads, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure materials, resources, and schedules are aligned to meet customer demand and production targets.

Key Responsibilities

You are a leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and creating an environment where teams can succeed. In this role, you will:

• Lead and support four Team Leads and production support personnel of about 30 people through regular coaching and development conversations.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and workforce planning to ensure production targets are met.
• Develop a strong understanding of Oxygen8's product lines and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure materials and resources are available to support production activities.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to support production demand.
• Review production documentation and release work orders to the Warehouse team.
• Approve employee attendance records, vacation requests, and time reporting.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new manufacturing team members.
• Champion 5S principles and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.
• Promote and enforce health and safety standards while participating in safety initiatives and meetings.
• Support annual performance review processes and employee development activities.
• Monitor and contribute to key production metrics and operational KPIs.
• Create and maintain clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture

Experience and Skills

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Strong ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other production-related systems.
• Professional, dependable, and accountable approach to work.
• Positive leadership style with a passion for building strong teams and delivering results.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or 5S methodologies is considered an asset.
• Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
• Required ability to lift up to 50lbs (23kg).
