IS2 Workforce Solutions is recruiting an experienced Powder Coating Supervisor in Guelph. This is a full-time opportunity that offers steady work, great training, and advancement opportunities.

Job Duties:

• Overseeing a team of 8+ team members in the powder coating department.

• Ensuring all powder coating processes are completed efficiently and to quality standards.

• Maintaining a hands-on approach to coaching and developing team members.

• Understanding and implementing safety protocols in the work environment.

• Monitoring equipment and materials to ensure optimal operation and supply.

• Identifying and troubleshooting any operational issues that may arise during production.

• Coordinating workflow and scheduling to meet production targets.

• Conducting routine maintenance and inspections of powder coating equipment.

• Implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance productivity and quality.

• Maintaining accurate records of production metrics and employee performance.

• Training new team members on powder coating processes and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in a powder coating or related manufacturing environment.

• Must have experience supervising a team and managing daily operations.

• Must be a self-starter who can understand what needs to be done and how to get it done without supervision.

• Strong knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.

• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

• Ability to perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must have steel toe shoes or boots.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Great time management and organizational skills.

• Experience with inventory management and production scheduling is a plus.

Shift hours:

Salary: $28+ (based on experience)
