Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop and maintain the Plant Production Schedule, reporting to the Production Planning Leader and Site Leader. You will coordinate weekly and daily schedules, analyze material requirements, and ensure timely materials availability across the network.

The role requires 2-3 years in a similar position, knowledge of inventory planning fundamentals, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of inventory planning fundamentals.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various competing priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Experience with Planning (MRP)/ERP systems is desirable.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly and daily production schedules for manufacturing lines following the Master Planning process.
• Analyze material requirements plans and release orders for all locally purchased materials and maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Monitor shelf life of purchased materials and ensure consumption before expiry.
• Review production variance reports to ensure production plans meet customer demand and minimize obsolescence.
• Coordinate schedules with Operations Leader and communicate changes to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Assign material requirements to the Central Distribution Centre and ensure ERP accuracy for payments.

Summary

We're a naan traditional company… Reporting to the Production Planning Leader and Site Leader, as the Production Scheduler, you will provide timely support in developing, maintaining, analyzing, and coordinating the Plant Production Schedule

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop weekly and daily production schedules for manufacturing lines following the most up-to-date Master Planning process used across the manufacturing network
• Analyze material requirements plans and release orders for all locally purchased materials, and maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Monitor shelf life of purchased materials and ensure consumption before expiry
• Constantly review and analyze production variance reports to ensure production plans are in place to meet customer demand and minimize material obsolescence
• Review weekly/daily production schedule with Operations Leader and make necessary changes
• Communicate production schedules and schedule changes to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Assign material requirements (waves) to the Central Distribution Centre
• Ensure that all locally purchased items are received and processed accurately in the ERP system and send final confirmation to A/P for processing the payments
• Cross-train with all the other Production Planners / Schedulers to be able to plan / schedule production for any of the manufacturing facilities in the network
• Accountable for ensuring scheduling files are maintained and up to date
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience

• 2-3 Years experience in a similar role
• Experience in Production and Raw Materials Planning for manufacturing would be an asset
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of inventory planning fundamentals
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience with Planning (MRP)/ ERP systems is desirable
• Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various competing priorities
