Job summary

FGF Brands is seeking a skilled Millwright to provide comprehensive mechanical support for our production group in packaging and processing areas. The role offers a continental shift and rotation between days and nights, with premiums for night and weekend hours.

Responsibilities include repairing, maintaining, diagnosing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance while ensuring safe operations. A Millwright license or equivalent experience and strong safety knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Millwright license or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years' mechanical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food industry is highly preferred).
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
• Mechanical training and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and Lockout Procedures.
• Committed to working towards a Mechanical Certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Passionate about mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment and facilities in the processing & packaging departments.
• Diagnose mechanical problems, provide quick & innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving.
• Operates drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools.
• Setup, takedown, and relocation of Bakery and Packaging equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, and safety inspections.
• Provide solutions to routine or unique equipment problems.
• Promptly respond to equipment related issues with customer-oriented manner.
• Equipment PM – responsible for maintaining equipment in safe working condition, lubricating necessary parts, changing worn out or damaged parts.
• Equipment (Production) – helps production set up the equipment on the line and troubleshoot/repair equipment during shift.
• Shop House Keeping - responsible for maintaining maintenance shop and toolbox organized and clean.
• Filling Out Shift Report – responsible for filling out electronically the shift report in specific issues or tasks completed during shift.
• Ordering Parts – Responsible for ordering parts that get used and helping the Maintenance Planner maintain shop inventory.

Overview

Pay Rate

$41 – $49/hour based on experience, certifications and skills

• $1/hour night premium
• $2/hour weekend premium
• Earn more with consistent overtime availability

Shift: Continental, rotating between Days/Nights every 2 weeks.
