Job summary

APEX is seeking a Drafting Technologist for its Steel Door Manufacturing Group in Moncton, NB. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Group Manager and focuses on planning and organizing orders for use in the plant.

You will produce shop drawings, plan projects to maximize productivity, improve drawing details, and create custom designs using Autodesk Inventor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• A manufacturing or drawing design background
• Background in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar 3D mechanical CAD software
• Strong background in Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Highly motivated with strong organizational skills & problem-solving abilities

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Group Manager. The primary role of this position is to plan and organize orders for use in the plant.

• College diploma (i.e. PTech, CET), University degree, or the equivalent work experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
