Position Title: Production Planner

Wage: $25-$30/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6am-3:30pm

Join a company that is an industry leader in precision machined parts and engineering solutions. They serve customers worldwide in the automotive, aerospace, construction, transportation, and other industries. This is an associate-to-hire role in Kenosha, WI.

Production Planner Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Determine daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
2. Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production Managers to plan and coordinate production schedules, including out-vendor processes.
3. Schedule all production departments based on material availability, staffing, and equipment.
4. Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Finance to establish effective scheduling parameters.
5. Load and maintain the production plan, lead-times, and scheduling parameters within the ERP system (Epicor).
6. Identify and report capacity constraints to Production Managers and Sales/Customer Support.
7. Monitor workflows and schedules to ensure on-time production and shipping.
8. Ensure availability of materials and equipment for planned setups.
9. Work with Production Managers and Engineering to develop solutions and improve performance.
10. Develop scheduling processes to enhance operational efficiency and meet production goals.
11. Generate production reports for decision-making.
12. Prepare and track job quantities.
13. Coordinate with Maintenance for scheduling machine preventive maintenance.

Production Planner Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
3. Proficiency in ERP systems, especially Epicor.
4. Experience with outsourced operations is a plus.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Strong problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent organization and planning skills.
8. Knowledge of Epicor 10 is advantageous.
9. Experience scheduling act machining is preferred.
10. Microsoft Office skills are preferred.
