Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care setting (asset).

We are searching for a PRODUCTION PANNER to join our PRODUCTION KITCHEN team based in HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA.

About the Opportunity
  1. Monitors tempering product to ensure availability for next day’s panning, following all handling guidelines.
  2. Prepares a tally sheet for the next day’s panning functions.
  3. Ensures the highest quality of food products for residents and reports issues.
  4. Prepares food in appropriate pans to ensure optimal rethermalization.
  5. Labels texture-modified foods according to panning sheets.
  6. Assists transport workers with loading distribution carts.
  7. Supports utility workers in cleaning and sanitizing.
  8. Maintains cleanliness and recycling of panning station daily.
  9. Stacks dishes appropriately and removes labels.
  10. Follows safety, environmental, and infection control practices.
  11. Works in refrigerated areas as required.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
About You

In addition to valuing continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability, you bring:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • A clear criminal record check upon hire
  • CPR & Emergency First Aid Certification and/or Basic Food Safety Training/Food Handler's Course (asset)
  • Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care setting (asset)
