Ice River Sustainable Solutions, a Canadian manufacturer transforming recycled plastics, is hiring a Production Operator. This role supports day-to-day production activities, operates machinery, and uses forklifts as needed.

The position emphasizes safety, record-keeping, quality checks, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Offering 12-hour rotating continental shifts (days and nights), an excellent hourly wage, benefits, and an RRSP match, the company supports growth, on-the-job training,

Qualifications

• Forklift/Heavy equipment experience is an asset.
• Work independently and in a small team in a fast-paced environment.
• High levels of attendance required.
• Positive, upbeat attitude.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Follow plant safety and food safety procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning to keep production area and equipment in good order.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for quality control and tracking.
• Monitor product quality with regular inspections and adjustments.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery.
• Support production operations by safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Work safely at all times and follow plant safety and food safety procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning tasks to keep the production area and equipment in good working order.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for quality control and production tracking purposes.
• Monitor product quality by conducting regular inspections, making necessary adjustments, and conducting quality checks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address challenges effectively.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for production processes.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience Required

• Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset.
• Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain high levels of attendance.
• Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.
• Previous manufacturing experience would be an asset.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.

Pay Rate: $21.22 hourly with wage increase after 3 months.
