Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Ontario is seeking a Production Operator to join a Canadian, family-owned manufacturer turning 100% recycled plastic into innovative solutions used across North America. You will operate production machinery, support operations with forklifts, and follow safety procedures.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift or heavy equipment is an asset.
• Able to work independently or in a small team in a fast-paced setting.
• High attendance and reliability are essential.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery.
• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Follow plant safety and food safety procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning to keep area and equipment in good order.
• Maintain production records for quality control and tracking.
• Monitor product quality with inspections and adjustments.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and address challenges.
• Follow SOPs and guidelines for production processes.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery.
• Support production operations by safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Work safely at all times and follow plant safety and food safety procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning tasks to keep the production area and equipment in good working order.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for quality control and production tracking purposes.
• Monitor product quality by conducting regular inspections, making necessary adjustments, and conducting quality checks.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address challenges effectively.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for production processes.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience Required:

• Previous Forklift or Heavy Equipment experience an asset.
• Be able to work independently and within a small team environment in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain high levels of attendance.
• Be eager, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.
• Previous manufacturing experience would be an asset.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours.

Pay Rate: $21.22 hourly with wage increase after 3 months.
