Job summary

Canada Packers is seeking a Production Operator for Winkler Feed Mill on a full-time night shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). Starting wage is $19.00 per hour with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

You will work with a team to produce high-quality animal feed in a safe, efficient environment. The role involves operating machines, completing paperwork, adhering to safety and quality policies, and collaborating with maintenance and drivers to meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Experience in production/manufacturing is an asset.
• Willingness to learn new processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and equipment to produce animal feed.
• Complete required paperwork for assigned tasks.
• Follow manufacturing practices and safety policies.
• Follow housekeeping standards.
• Operate plant equipment to meet daily targets.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machines.
• Communicate changes in product flow or equipment issues to Team Lead or Maintenance.
• Collect material samples and perform tests to ensure specifications.

About This Opportunity

This position is part of a collaborative team that includes maintenance technicians and truck drivers, all working together to meet daily production goals. If you enjoy working with machines, solving problems, and being part of a fast‑paced operation, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed
• Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks
• Following manufacturing practices & safety policies
• Following housekeeping standards
• Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets
• Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
• Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance
• Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications
• Measuring & weighing of ingredients
• Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety

Skills & Experience

• Willingness and ability to learn new processes and equipment
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset
