Job summary

Western Asphalt Products is seeking a Production Operator to assist in plant operations at the Brandon, Manitoba Terminal. This full-time role involves hands-on production of liquid asphalt emulsions, general equipment maintenance, and inventory management.

Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, able to troubleshoot, and ready to work extended hours including weekends when required. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to details.
• Industrial experience an asset.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and identify potential issues.
• Equipment operating experience an asset.
• Ability to identify and complete tasks independently.
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work extended hours during peak customer demand including weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for production of liquid asphalt emulsions
• Production of other specialty products as required
• Safe and accurate blending and management of raw materials
• General maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Intermittent operation of truck scale
• Collection of product samples for testing and retention purposes
• Loading and unloading of bulk tanker trucks
• Management of inventory
• Operation of Loader/Forklift

About Western Asphalt:

Western Asphalt Products entered the liquid asphalt industry in 2012 in Brandon, Manitoba. A year later opening up in Bruderheim, Alberta in 2013 to supply Western Canada and Northern United States with liquid asphalt products.

• Primarily responsible for production of liquid asphalt emulsions
• Production of other specialty products as required
