We are looking for a Production Manager with a strong leadership background to coordinate and direct all manufacturing responsibilities for our Blow Molding Department.

Summary: Coordinate and direct all manufacturing responsibilities for Blow Molding. Responsible for quality and quantity of products, manufacturing costs, proper methods and tooling applications, and effective utilization of production hours and personnel, skills, machines, and facilities. Works with sales, engineering, production, and other support groups to improve manufacturing processes.
- Manage the day-to-day aspects of blow molding at Clack East.
- Develop and coordinate daily production schedules and determine future capacity requirements based on sales forecasts.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Implement and evaluate statistical process control and statistical quality control to improve efficiencies.
- Administer company policies and practices and assures corporate policies and procedures are met.
- Insure proper training, supervision and evaluation of all molding, machine maintenance, and set-up personnel.
- Work with Sales, QC, and Engineering to develop new products and necessary support systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new molding techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Assure a safe, clean work environment.
- Shut down equipment that may be deemed hazardous or not meeting quality standards.
- Determines staffing and respective responsibilities.
- Evaluate current molding efficiencies and profitability.
- Evaluate and make recommendations to continually improve set-up efficiencies.
- Is part of the on-call rotation for the weekend support.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and health programs are compliant and adhered to.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Extensive management background in injection and blow molding plastics and plastics processing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Production Management or equivalent manufacturing experience of 5-10 years.
- Able to operate independently and without supervision. Self-starter.
- Excellent supervisory and general management skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work closely with sales, engineering, production staff, and customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of scheduling, materials management, inventory control, production planning, staffing requirements and efficient manufacturing methods.
- Able to stand for extended periods and sit for extended periods.
- Manufacturing or processing engineering experience preferred.
- Willingness to purse alternative manufacturing methods and concepts from idea to implementation.
