The Virtual Production Show Production Manager (PM) reports to the Producer and Director of Content Production, assisting in managing assigned projects. This role bridges creative and production teams, ensuring efficient workflows and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Producer and supervisors to strengthen connections between creative and production teams.
- Assist the Producer and Creative Director in project setup and workflow management.
- Manage turnovers and schedules of deliverable milestones in collaboration with the Producer.
- Mentor and manage coordinators to create clear daily and weekly plans, ensuring schedules are on track.
- Organize and lead daily meetings with clear agendas.
- Identify and mitigate project roadblocks, creating contingency plans to maintain efficiency.
- Create and implement strategic plans and schedules to ensure team productivity.
- Follow up on action items, goals, and deadlines; oversee all deliveries and reference sharing with Eyeline and coordinators.
- Maintain and update the Shotgrid database with turnovers and schedules, creating scenes, shots, and assets as needed.
Qualifications- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Production Manager or similar role in virtual production, VFX, or animation.
- At least 5 years of experience working on high-profile feature films and television.
- Strong technical understanding of the VFX pipeline across departments; interest in VFX software packages.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and diligent with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Trustworthy with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent project management skills to balance various priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite; experience with production management software like ShotGrid or similar.
- Knowledge of real-time engine concepts and virtual production terminology is a plus but not essential.
