K-Bro Linen Inc. in Edmonton is looking for a Lead Hand to support the Department Supervisor in a fast-paced production facility.

You will monitor linen flow using production software, assign tasks to teammates, and ensure delivery times are met while maintaining safety rules and proper PPE. This role requires a minimum of one year in a production environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and comfort with computerized systems.

Provide support to the Department Supervisor. Monitor the flow of linen with production software. Prioritize accounts in order of delivery times. Delegate employees to the appropriate work station to ensure productivity goals are reached. Track and record production numbers on a daily basis. Move linen in tubs to other departments for further processing. Provide assistance as needed when equipment is down. Communicate to the Department Supervisor or Production Manager if equipment is not operating properly.

Safety Responsibilities:

Lead by example, perform work in a safe manner by following safety rules and practices. Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to include: steel toe footwear, hairnet and face mask. Report any unsafe work practices such as dangerous work habits. Monitor department area by checking for trip hazards, unsafe or faulty equipment and any unsafe conditions.

Position Summary

This position requires an outgoing individual who is comfortable interacting with front-line staff, peers, and plant management. It is a fast-paced environment requiring one to multi-task while performing the duties of this job. The Lead Hand must set an example by working safely, following all Health and Safety policies and procedures, and using proper PPE.

Salary Range: $16.00/Hr
