Job summary

Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. in Selkirk, Manitoba, invites you to join a manufacturing team on a continental shift. The role includes 12-hour days and nights, with a regular 40–42 hour week and a pay rate of $38.07/hour. You will contribute to operations, learn multiple positions, and grow within the department.

The ideal candidate brings manufacturing experience, teamwork, and strong communication and math skills, along with a high attention to detail and a solid work ethic.

Qualifications

• This position requires physical labour, standing all day and exposure to outside temperatures.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Experience working with mobile equipment is preferred.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane would be an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma (or GED).
• Excellent communication and strong math skills, high attention to detail, and good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Perform 12-hour shifts on a continental schedule (days/nights).

• Learn and cover for senior positions within the department as needed.
• Advance to more responsible positions based on seniority.
