Job summary

Janox Fluid Power Ltd. is seeking a Production Coordinator to drive production scheduling and cross-department coordination in our hydraulic equipment shop. You will partner with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Customer Service to keep projects on track and materials on hand. Strong planning and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in production coordination, planning, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in custom manufacturing or heavy industrial settings.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage work orders and schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules for hydraulic equipment and related projects.
  • Coordinate workflow between Engineering, Machining, Welding, Assembly, Testing, and Shipping.
  • Release and manage production work orders in the ERP system.
  • Review BOMs and drawings to ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor progress and identify scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Balance workload with shop leads and engineering to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicate status, timelines, and updates across departments.

We’re looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a key role within our operations, responsible for coordinating projects from order release through production and final delivery. What You’ll Do

As the Production Coordinator, you’ll be the central point of communication between Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Customer Service to ensure projects move efficiently through the shop.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules for custom hydraulic equipment, cylinder manufacturing, and repair projects.
  • Coordinate workflow between Engineering, Machining, Welding, Assembly, Testing, and Shipping.
  • Release and manage production work orders within the ERP system.
  • Review Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, and job documentation to ensure production readiness.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify scheduling conflicts or production bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials and components arrive on schedule.
  • Work closely with shop lead hands and engineering to balance workload and maximize production efficiency.
  • Communicate project status, delivery timelines, and schedule updates across departments.
  • Support inventory planning and material availability for ongoing production.
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve workflow, communication, and operational efficiency.
What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who enjoys planning, organizing, and working collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications include:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production coordination, production planning, project coordination, or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working in a custom manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems to manage work orders and production schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hydraulic systems, fluid power equipment, machining, welding, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • APICS or Production Planning certification.

Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment specializing in hydraulic cylinders, custom hydraulic systems, and component repair.
  • Occasional out-of-town travel, field work, overtime, and weekend work may be required to support customer and operational needs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform work in a manufacturing shop environment.
