Job summary

Elmira Machine Industries (EMI) in Elmira, Ontario, is seeking a Component Welder to join our Production Team. You will read fabrication drawings, fit, tack, and MIG weld steel components to ensure quality, and verify dimensions for on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Since 1969, Elmira Machine Industries (EMI) has been manufacturing high-quality vacuum pumps, fabricated components, and industrial products from our facility in Elmira, Ontario. Our Wallenstein (Wally) Vacuum Pumps are relied upon by customers across North America and around the world for their rugged construction, reliability, and performance.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and dependable Component Welder to join our Production Team.

The Component Welder is responsible for fitting, welding, and finishing fabricated components and subassemblies used in our products and manufacturing operations. Working from engineering drawings and work orders, this position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, production flow, and on-time delivery to our customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to build products in a stable manufacturing environment.
