Sunrise Soya Foods in Delta, BC is hiring for a Production Associate - Packaging Operator on the night shift. You will support the packaging line, verify weights and codes, and ensure labels and films are properly aligned and sealed.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure final product net weight meets packaging requirements and date codes.
• Prevent packaging of broken, cracked, or chipped tofu.
• Collaborate with Packaging Lead to center labels/films and ensure seals are leak-free.
• Isolate leaker and misaligned film packages for separate handling.
• Ensure products are stacked on correct pallets and meet TI HI requirements.
• Maintain GMP-compliant sanitation of all equipment before production.
• Report conflicts or concerns to leadership for timely action.
• Work with teammates to keep equipment in good operating order.
• Train and mentor coworkers to raise skill levels across activities.
• Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures the final product net weight is above the required packaged weight with the correct code date.
• Ensures that broken, cracked, or chipped corner tofu is not packaged.
• Works together with the Packaging Team Lead to ensure labels or films are centred on the packages and are sealed with no leaks.
• Leakers and unaligned film packages are to be kept separately in large baskets.
• Ensures all products are stacked on good, correct type of pallets and meet the “ti hi” requirement.
• Ensures that all equipment is properly sanitized as GMP requires before production starts
• Reports workers’ conflicts and concerns to the leadership team immediately so that follow-up action can be taken in a timely manner
• Works with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
• Trains and mentors fellow employees to increase their skill level in all activities
• Observes and follows company safety rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Schedule:

• 8.5-hour workday - 15min (paid) coffee break and 30 min (unpaid meal break)
• Monday to Friday
• Shift: Night (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
