Job summary

Kissner Milling Company, a long-standing salt and ice melt producer, is seeking a Production Associate to handle packaging and salt material and operate equipment to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.

Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, wear safety gear, work in varying temperatures, and have basic English; prior production experience preferred. Hourly rate $18.95.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Must wear steel-toed shoes, safety glasses & hard hat.
• Must be able to read and speak basic English.
• Must attend work regularly as attendance is required.
• Must work in varying temperatures in a production environment.
• Production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles, lifts, moves empty and full salt bags and packages.
• Operates baggers and sealers per procedures.
• Ensures product is bagged, sealed and palletized as specified.
• Assists the line leader as needed.
• Passes only product meeting specs to next step.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Follows established procedures and practices.
• Keeps accurate production data records.
• Communicates safety, quality, and productivity concerns to Line Leader.

Job Summary

In a production environment, Production Associates handle packaging and salt material and operating equipment to ensure production achieves safety, quality and productivity goals as set out by the Plant Manager.

A primary responsibility of this position is to adhere to all food safety, quality, safety and environmental regulations and programs. This includes the company, federal and state guidelines to ensure we provide a safe work environment for all employees and visitors and drive continuous improvement for all FSQR and EHS programs.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Handles and lifts, and moves empty and full salt bags and packages.
• Operates baggers and sealers according to established procedures.
• Ensure product is bagged, sealed and palletized according to specifications.
• Aid and assist the line leader.
• Ensure only product that meets specifications is passed to the next process step.
• Work safely and responsibly and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform work according to accepted procedures and practices.
• Keep accurate records of production data.
• Communicate all concerns affecting safety, quality, productivity and the work environment to the Line Leader.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

• Must be able to speak and read basic English.
• Must be able to attend work regularly, as attendance is a requirement of the position.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $18.95. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location. This position is for an existing vacancy.
