Job summary

MODERN Staffing is seeking General Labourers for an automotive manufacturing client in Ontario. The role offers on-site work with competitive wages and shift premiums. Training will be provided, and direct hire by the client with potential union representation is possible.

Responsibilities include operating laser cutters, ensuring quality, and meeting production targets while following safety protocols. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and be prepared for rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience, automotive manufacturing a plus.
• High School Diploma.
• PPE (steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses)

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutters in the cutting department to support production.
• Maintain high quality standards across outputs.
• Adhere to safety processes and PPE requirements.
• Help achieve production targets.
• Collaborate with team to meet objectives.
• Work rotating shifts: 6:30 - 2:30 / 2:30 - 10:30 / 10:30 - 6:30.

Our industry leading client in the automotive industry is looking for some skilled General Labourers to join their team. Successful candidates will received on the job training. They will also be hired on directly by our client with the potential of joining the union representing the workers in the plant.

Competitive wage - $23.78/hour starting plus afternoon ($0.60/hour) and midnight ($0.90/hour) shift premiums 100% onsite

• Working in the cutting department supporting production through the safe operation of laser cutters
• Ensure high quality standards are kept
• Obey safety processes and procedures at all times
• Achieve production targets
• Work as a positive team member, helping ensure overall company objectives are met
• Ability to work rotating shifts (6:30 - 2:30 / 2:30 - 10:30 / 10:30 - 6:30)
