Job summary

Protek Surface Technologies, a member of the Nordstern Group, is seeking a Production Assistant to join our team on the production floor in Manitoba. The role covers shipping and receiving, paperwork, inventory, and logging transactions in our ERP system.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is an asset.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items overhead.
• Willingness to use pallet jacks and other production tools.
• Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities

• Process parts according to customer specifications using work orders and operation sheets.
• Perform shipping and receiving, including forklift operation and inventory logging in our ERP system.
• Operate packaging equipment such as tape guns, box cutters, heat sealing machines, and shrink wrappers.
• Operate machinery including cabinet sandblasters, tumble blasting machines, and overhead workstation cranes.
• Assist in powder coating application.
• Participate in daily production huddles and complete standard production paperwork.
• Engage in 5S activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking a Production Assistant to join our team. The Production Assistant is responsible for working on our production floor, shipping and receiving, paperwork, inventory and logging transactions in our ERP system.
