Job summary

O.E.M. Remanufacturing Company Inc. is seeking a general laborer to support production with a 50/50 mix of computer work and hands-on tasks.

The role emphasizes compliance with 5S and Contamination Control standards, and requires reliable teamwork. This is a static day shift with an 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule and unionized environment. The position reports to production leadership and involves lifting up to 40 pounds, safety testing, and adherence to the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• General labour experience
• Experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred
• Crane/rigging and Powerjack/Forklift experience preferred
• Must communicate written and spoken English effectively
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Fit tested and able to wear a respirator
• Commitment to safe work practices per company policies

Position Overview

Provides general labor and assistance to production personnel in the area. The self-motivated candidate will complete job tasks as assigned with minimum supervision. Must maintain production area organization and cleanliness in compliance with Contamination Control guidelines and 5S standards as well as complete other related tasks in support of production as they arise. This position consists of 50/50 mix of computer work and assisting with production tasks.

• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.

Note

This posting is for a static day shift; Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day (8am - 4:30pm)

Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment

Hourly Rate: $24.40- $25.46 / Hour

Union Membership: This is a unionized position.
