Job summary

OEM Remanufacturing Company Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a general laborer to support production. The role combines computer work with hands-on tasks, requiring self-motivation and the ability to follow 5S and contamination-control standards.

You will pick up and deliver parts, maintain supplies, assist with calibration tooling, enter data, and uphold safety, quality and teamwork. A high school diploma and basic Microsoft Office skills are required; crane/forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General labour experience.
  • Experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred.
  • Crane/rigging and Powerjack/Forklift experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.
  • Must be a team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be fit tested and able to wear a respirator.
  • Must work safely and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

Company: O.E.M. Remanufacturing Company Inc. Number of Openings: 1 Worker Type: Permanent Position Overview: Provides general labor and assistance to production personnel in the area. The self-motivated candidate will complete job tasks as assigned with minimum supervision. Must maintain production area organization and cleanliness in compliance with Contamination Control guidelines and 5S standards as well as complete other related tasks in support of production as they arise. This position consists of 50/50 mix of computer work and assisting with production tasks.

Note: This posting is for a static day shift; Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day (8am - 4:30pm) Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment.

Hourly Rate: $24.40- $25.46 / Hour

Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
