Job summary

Fernie Brewing Company Ltd in Fernie, BC, is seeking a Production and Warehouse Worker to operate our canning and keg lines and to provide coverage across Production, Warehouse and Distribution Centre areas in a fast-paced, safety‑minded team. The role requires legal eligibility to work in Canada, 19+ years, a valid BC class 5 license, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn.

• Valid class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent).
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift certification or experience is an asset.
• Experience driving larger trucks is an asset.
• Basic mechanical experience is an asset.
• Physically able to lift 55lbs and maneuver 130lbs.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Operate canning line equipment including filler, labeller, cartoner, and palletizer.
• Pick and assemble orders.
• Safely operate company equipment and vehicles.
• Handle chemicals safely for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Clean and organize the warehouse.
• Assist Production, Warehouse and Distribution Centre departments as required.
• Drive product between Distribution Centre and Brewery as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

What you'll be doing:

As a Production and Warehouse Worker, you will work on our canning and keg lines; assist in our Production, Warehouse, and Distribution Centre areas; and provide coverage for our Warehouse Associate (shuttle driver) as required. This is a fast-paced and varied role that requires a hands-on and proactive individual who thrives in a team environment.

Main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Working on our canning line, including using specialized equipment such as our filler, labeller, cartoner, and palletizer
• Picking and assembling orders
• Safely operating company equipment and vehicles
• Safe handling of chemicals as required for cleaning and sanitizing
• Cleaning and organizing our Warehouse
• Assisting in the Production, Warehouse and Distribution Centre departments as required
• Driving product between our Distribution Centre and Brewery facilities on an as needed basis
• Other duties as required

Requirements:

• Able to legally work in Canada
• 19+ years of age or older
