Labatt Breweries of Canada in Delta, BC is seeking an overnight shift operator on a 6-month contract. The role involves operating forklifts and related production equipment, with duties including receiving materials, loading trailers, and ensuring HACCP and EH&S compliance. Overtime is eligible as per the collective agreement.

The position offers $25.77/hour with progressive yearly increases in 2027 and 2028. Shift is 10:00pm–6:30am at Turning Point Brewery, Delta, BC.

Qualificações

• Grade 12 education or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
• Forklift license required; forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures.
• Comfortable with shift changes and wearing safety equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate machines, including forklifts, pallet jacks, palletizers and stretch wrappers.
• Relieve machine operators and manage daily breaks.
• Ensure HACCP and EH&S procedures are followed, including inspections.
• Receive inbound materials and complete documentation.
• Load outbound trailers and maintain safety documentation.
• Supply production line materials and move finished goods.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary: The hourly rate for this role is $25.77/hour

This is a unionized position with progressive yearly increases as per CBA:

Year 2027: $26.55/hour

Year 2028: $27.34/hour

Contract duration : 6 months

Shift: Overnight Shift 10:00pm - 6:30am

Location : Turning Point Brewery, Delta, BC

Overtime Eligibility: This position is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable labour laws and pursuant with collective agreement. Overtime is paid at the legally required rate and may vary based on hours worked beyond the standard schedule

Job Responsibilities:

• Operation of machines, e.g. electric and propane forklifts, electric pallet jacks, palletizers, stretch wrappers and power floor sweeper
• Relief for machine operators and daily breaks
• Responsible for all HACCP and EH&S procedures in the department which includes but is not limited to: trailer inspections, forklift inspections and cleaning
• Receiving of incoming materials, completing documentation and general knowledge of chemical containment area
• Loading outbound trailers, completing documentation and making sure all safety procedures are followed
• Production line supply for staging materials and taking away finished goods from the line (Can line and keg line)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent. Post-secondary education considered an asset
• Forklift license required
• Fork-lift experience, at least 1 year required
• High energy, strong teamwork and ability to learn
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Exceptional work, discipline and attendance record
• Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with co-workers
• Comfortable with shift changes
• Comfortable wearing safety equipment at all times
• Willingness to learn supply chain related computer programs
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) considered an asset
